The mission of the medical and clinical professionals and the entire care team here at Bedrock Recovery Center is made up of specific elements that, together, help our clients achieve the goal of long-term recovery.
Element 1: A Personalized Approach
Evidence shows that people achieve better outcomes when pursuing lasting recovery from addiction and mental health disorders when their care is tailored to their own needs and goals.
The client-centered approach at BRC begins with an individual assessment to establish your treatment needs and discover your personal goals in recovery. Your care team will take all of this into consideration when creating your personalized treatment plan. If your needs and goals change as you progress, your treatment plan will be adjusted to reflect this.
Element 2: Trauma-Informed Care
Trauma is often linked with addiction and mental health disorders. Trauma can occur when you experience or witness an emotionally challenging event and are unable to process the experience, such as physical abuse, sexual abuse, childhood neglect, combat, a natural disaster, or a mass shooting. In some cases, people aren’t aware that they have been traumatized, because blocking associated memories and emotions allows them to go on functioning “normally.”
Our medical and clinical professionals are trained in trauma-informed care and can help clients get to the root of their substance use or mental health disorders in a safe, supported way.
Element 3: Evidence-Based Treatment
Bedrock Recovery Center offers evidence-based treatment options for addiction and mental illness, or those that are backed by sufficient scientific research to prove their efficacy in helping people achieve recovery.
Our options include both those that are proven effective in treating substance use disorders or mental health disorders overall, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), as well as those that sufficient scientific studies show are beneficial for people experiencing specific conditions, such as exposure interventions for people with post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) or anxiety disorders.
Element 4: Holistic Services
Our overall treatment approach is also holistic in nature, meaning that we take a multidisciplinary, whole-person approach to recovery. This includes care from both medical and clinical professionals, such as licensed psychiatrists, nurses, and therapists, as well as from qualified wellness specialists, such as yoga and meditation instructors. You’ll also have access to a wide variety of social and recreational activities during your stay, including exercise classes, sports, movie nights, and more.
Holistic services at BRC also include case management to help with clients’ job, legal, family, or other personal responsibilities, as well as aftercare planning to ensure that ongoing support and care is set up after clients leave us.
Going Beyond Our Mission
We have the expertise to help you find lasting recovery from addiction or a mental health disorder, but we also have natural empathy for your experience. Many people who work at BRC have faced addiction or a mental health crisis and are in recovery.
Our residential mental health program also addresses the lack of options outside of a stay in a psychiatric hospital for people experiencing a mental health crisis or in need of “step down” care following such a stay.
All of the programs at BRC help instill hope and a sense of purpose back into our clients’ lives—things that nobody can be expected to live fully without.
If you or a loved one is among the growing number of people requiring help due to drug or alcohol addiction, a mental health disorder, or a dual diagnosis, BRC wants to be the solution. Call us today to learn more about our treatment programs.
