During treatment, you’ll use therapy and other tools to build your recovery education. This critical part of your treatment journey helps you build the skills you’ll need to maintain recovery for years to come.

It all takes place in our beautiful Canton, MA facility, which includes amenities like outdoor recreation, yoga, and 5-star nutritional services to keep your spirit and body fueled during treatment.

Evidence-Based Treatment

Our evidence-based treatment plans take a few forms: medication-assisted treatment (MAT) and psychotherapy.

Medication-Assisted Treatment

MAT works best when it’s combined with other evidence-based treatments. At Bedrock Recovery Center, we combine medication with therapy, counseling, group discussion, and other types of care for a whole-body approach.

You may be a candidate for MAT if you are living with an opioid dependence or alcohol addiction. Medications that we use in MAT help reduce cravings and control withdrawal symptoms, lessening the need to use drugs.

Psychotherapeutic Treatment

We use clinical psychotherapy to help you recognize the reasons behind your drug use and address them at the source. Addiction doesn’t exist in a bubble, so at Bedrock Recovery Center, we treat the cause in addition to the addiction.

Your therapy care will be handpicked based on your needs and may include:

  • Cognitive-behavioral therapy
  • Dialectical behavior therapy
  • Internal Family Systems therapy
  • Mindfulness-based therapy
  • Motivational interviewing

Develop Your Recovery Education

Bedrock Recovery Center creates addiction care plans that address your education. Most people living with addiction don’t know healthy coping mechanisms or other skills necessary for recovery.

Part of your treatment includes developing recovery education that includes:

  • Adjusting to a daily routine
  • Building communication skills
  • Managing stress
  • Practicing self-care for your body and mind

You’ll develop those skills at Bedrock through psycho-education sessions, discussion groups, workshops, and more.

Trauma and Gender-Informed Care Approach

Most addiction has a history of trauma behind it. This can be trauma from work if you’re in a stressful position like First-Responder, from childhood abuse, gender-based violence, or any other number of traumatic experiences.

In fact, our First Responder residential care program provides a track for people who are dealing with work-related trauma that affects their addiction.

We address the underlying trauma that you experience as a First Responder so you can heal and cope.

Our trauma-informed care track provides you with access to trauma resolution therapies such as:

  • Cognitive processing therapy
  • Eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR)
  • Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS)
  • Mindfulness-based cognitive therapy
  • Transcranial neurostimulation

FAQ

Can I afford addiction treatment?

Often times, your health insurance plan can cover a majority of the cost of your treatment. Not sure where to start? We can help verify your insurance plan and point you in the right direction, even if it’s not with us.

What will happen to my job while I’m in treatment?

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) has given protected rights for people suffering from substance abuse. By filing for FMLA, you can help protect your job while you are in treatment. Our treatment specialists will go over different options with you and help you file the necessary paperwork you need to help protect your job. This process is discrete as we are HIPAA compliant.

What does substance abuse treatment look like?

Substance abuse treatment often comes in multiple stages. The stages are dependent on what substance(s) an individual is using and how often. Typically, treatment consists of detox, inpatient/residential treatment and/or intensive outpatient treatment. This process usually takes on average 90 days. An individualized plan will be made for each patient by their clinician and therapist.

Can I force a loved one to go to rehab?

If you live in the state of Massachusetts, there is a law that passed, known as Section 35. Under this law, it “allows a qualified person to request a court order requiring someone to be civilly committed and treated involuntarily for an alcohol or substance use disorder”. Read more about Section 35 and speak with one of our treatment specialists today to help assist you through this process.

Can I smoke while in treatment?

Yes, we have designated areas for smoking.
Can someone help me stage an intervention?
Absolutely! Call our treatment specialists to discuss your specific situation. Often times we are able to send a certified interventionist to help assist in not only the intervention, but to also oversee your loved one’s transportation to rehab.

How can I communicate with my loved ones while in treatment?

Keep in mind that when you’re in treatment, you want to take the time to focus on yourself and your recovery. However, we understand that our patients have responsibilities outside of treatment and can make accommodations to comply with certain requests. To find out more, call and talk to our treatment specialists today.

How do I talk to a loved one about addiction treatment?

Talking to a loved one about addiction treatment can be tough. It’s important to go about it in a healthy way, without them feeling judged or pressured. Our treatment specialists can help guide you step by step during the process, so do not hesitate to call.
