Short-term residential mental health treatment at Bedrock Recovery Center can help you stabilize during a mental health crisis and establish a foundation for long-term recovery. Our Pathways program is also for people with mental health disorders who are experiencing a relapse, or a return of previous symptoms.
Our community crisis stabilization (CCS) services start with an evaluation and assessment to make sure that your individual needs and goals in recovery are met. We offer medication management, behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based approaches from licensed medical and clinical professionals to provide you with the tools you need to return to a state of balance in body and mind.
Anxiety Disorders
Anxiety is a natural response to danger, heightening our alertness and preparing the body to respond. However, when anxiety becomes excessive, prolonged, or disproportionate to the situation, it can interfere with daily life, leading to an anxiety disorder.
At Bedrock, we offer evidence-based therapies for anxiety disorders, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and exposure interventions, along with support groups, medication management, and more.
Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) is an anxiety disorder characterized by persistent unwanted thoughts and overwhelming urges to engage in repetitive behaviors or mental acts. These obsessions and compulsions can significantly interfere with daily activities, relationships, and overall quality of life.
At BRC, we can help you reduce the impact of obsessive thoughts and manage compulsive behaviors in a healthy, sustainable way. Our OCD treatment program typically involves a combination of medication and behavioral therapy, such as CBT, alongside peer support groups.
We also put an emphasis on mindfulness techniques and on teaching our clients to make healthy lifestyle changes to complement our evidence-based treatment approaches.
Depression
Depression, also known as major depressive disorder (MDD), is a mental health condition characterized by persistent feelings of sadness, hopelessness, and a lack of interest in activities. It goes beyond the normal fluctuations in mood that everyone experiences and can significantly impact a person’s daily functioning, relationships, and overall well-being.
At Bedrock, we use an integrated treatment approach and offer client-centered care to provide you with everything you need for lasting recovery. Our clinical team is trained in trauma-informed therapy, mindfulness-based cognitive therapy (MBCT), and other evidence-based therapies to get to the roots of your depression and help you develop practical tools for handling triggers, unhelpful beliefs, and difficult emotions.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)
Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that can develop in people who have experienced or witnessed a traumatic event. It is common for people with PTSD to experience flashbacks, severe insomnia, irritability, and a tendency to engage in risky behaviors as a form of distraction.
At BRC, we use a multidisciplinary approach to treating PTSD, including evidence-based therapies like CBT and trauma-informed therapy with exposure interventions, medication management, peer support groups, and wellness activities. Care is personalized to your specific needs, and your progress is monitored to support your success.
Bipolar Disorder
Bipolar disorder is a mental health condition characterized by extreme mood swings or episodes of mania and depression. These episodes can cause unpredictable behaviors and make it very difficult to function in day-to-day life.
Bipolar disorder is considered difficult to treat, but the compassionate, highly qualified team at Bedrock provides the most effective treatment options available today, including a combination of medication and psychotherapy.
Your treatment plan may change in response to regular assessments to ensure that the desired outcomes are achieved with no or minimal side effects.
Schizophrenia
Schizophrenia is a chronic mental health disorder characterized by disruptions in thought processes, emotions, and perceptions of reality. People living with schizophrenia often require medication to help them function in daily life, including maintaining steady employment and healthy relationships with family and friends.
At Bedrock Recovery Center, we offer the best evidence-based interventions for schizophrenia, such as family psychoeducation (FPE) therapy, medication management, CBT, and other psychosocial support options. Coordinated care from our multidisciplinary team provides a whole-person approach to recovery, addressing a client’s mental, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
Co-Occurring Substance Use Disorder
Co-occurring substance use disorder refers to drug or alcohol addiction that occurs alongside a primary mental health diagnosis. This is also called a dual diagnosis, and it is common. It is even more common in people with certain mental health disorders, such as anxiety disorders, PTSD, depression, bipolar disorder, or schizophrenia.
Through our Pathways program, we offer an integrated dual disorder treatment (IDDT) model, an evidence-based approach that involves treating both disorders at the same time by the same care team. Our multidisciplinary approach provides pharmacological, psychological, social, and educational interventions and considers each client’s unique circumstances in life for long-term recovery.
Conditions That May Require More Intensive Care
There are certain mental health conditions and issues that may require more intensive care than we can provide at Bedrock, including primary eating disorders, high-risk suicide, and homicidal ideation.
Furthermore, while we are equipped to treat people with auditory hallucinations, there may be some clients who require more advanced care as well.
In these instances, we can refer people to a more specialized facility for treatment.
