Can I Visit My Loved One During Treatment?

Yes, you can visit your loved one while they are undergoing addiction treatment at Bedrock Recovery Center.

We’ve established certain guidelines for visitors in order to maintain a focused environment for our clients undergoing treatment and to support your loved one’s recovery.

Visitation Policies At Bedrock Recovery Center

At our facility, we allow immediate family members such as parents, siblings, and spouses to visit their loved ones who are undergoing treatment.

We also allow visits from friends who are supportive to the person’s recovery, particularly if their immediate family is unable to do so.

However, we may decline visits from anyone who is deemed a distraction or who may hinder a client’s recovery, such as people who have enabled past substance abuse.

These restrictions are designed to support the environment our clients need during treatment, as well as to avoid introducing external triggers.

If you are not an immediate family member but you’re interested in visiting someone while they’re at our facility, you can reach out to their case manager to ask about visitation.

Family Therapy At Bedrock Recovery Center

At Bedrock Recovery Center, family therapy plays an important role in our rehab programs.

This type of therapy offers evidence-based sessions where you, your loved one, and other family members can engage in therapeutic activities together.

These sessions will help you learn ways to support your loved one’s recovery, set healthy boundaries, and rebuild relationships strained by the impact of addiction.

Additionally, you and your loved one may be involved in discussions about the treatment plan, aftercare, and ongoing support strategies.

Our family therapy sessions are overseen by an experienced therapist. Their role is to facilitate the conversation and ensure the sessions remain helpful and non-triggering.

Other Forms Of Communication During Treatment

Though in-person therapy sessions will be your main method of communication during your loved one’s time at our facility, we also allow other types of contact, such as phone calls and letters.

Similarly, if you cannot make it to Bedrock for in-person family therapy sessions, we can coordinate these meetings over Zoom.

We typically limit these types of interactions to family members only. Our main goal is the recovery of our clients, and we restrict communication in order to limit distractions.

However, if you have a friend or coworker undergoing treatment at Bedrock, you can discuss arranging other methods of communication, including phone calls and letters, with their therapist.

When evaluating your request, the therapist will review your relationship with our client and determine if the interaction is clinically appropriate.
